About SAHD
A professional environment built on experience, understanding and trust. SAHD brings together ethology, psychology and pedagogy to support safety and balance between dogs and people.
A professional environment for behaviour, mentality and relationships
Over three decades, SAHD has combined practical experience with a professional foundation. We help people understand dogs and build a safer, more predictable everyday life.
Our work is about interaction. We consider the dog as it is and show how clear frameworks, contact and balance can support the dog in family life, in its environment and in society.
Knowledge from ethology, psychology and pedagogy is made understandable and practical for daily life: at home, on walks and around other people.
Anders H. Davidsen is SAHD’s managing director and owner. His work has included dog behaviour, testing, consultation, teaching and professional development.
SAHD’s experience also includes work connected with SAHD ihund; this is part of the organisation’s background, not a separate English service.
Our professional foundation
Understanding the dog in context
We draw on knowledge of dogs’ natural behaviour and their need for stability, social connection and clarity. Dogs are social mammals shaped by evolution to cooperate, read signals and respond to structure.
Individual assessment
Each dog is considered in relation to its characteristics, experiences and environment. Everyday frameworks should respect the dog’s nature while working in modern settings.
From knowledge to practice
SAHD connects observation and experience with perspectives from ethology, psychology and pedagogy. The aim is to make professional knowledge useful in daily life.
Understanding. Trust. Balance.
Safety, trust and balance are the foundation for a stable relationship between a dog and the people around it.
